Experimental First Person Shooter Prototype
It was recently announced that wireless input devices, designed specifically for VR, allowing for 'hand presence', would be commercially available in early 2016. This made me want to experiment with an fps in VR that would use 6DoF tracked (wireless) hand controllers to aim weapons and manipulate the environment. This side project was started in order to have something 'up and running' by the time I could get my hands on dev kit (or consumer version) hardware. Input hardware aside, one of the most striking sensations in VR, in my opinion, is the true sense of scale, and so I have also been itching to work on a VR project in which the sense of scale was paramount.
